Brady Corporation’s Excavation Tag enables companies to increase compliance and workplace safety by communicating vital information at an excavation entrance where it can be seen by all workers.

Complying with EU Directive 92/57/EEC on minimum safety requirements for excavations becomes easier with the Excavation Tags. On the tags’ removable inserts, inspectors can easily write the date of their inspection and signature. The insert can also include information on which utility services are present in the excavation, including telephone cables, water main, electrical cables, plumbing and other. Information on which safety equipment to wear when entering the excavation can also be included, as well as specific health & safety actions to take or who to contact if work cannot be carried out safely. If the excavation is not deemed fit for use after inspection, the insert can be removed which will leave a clear ‘do not enter’ message on the empty holder.

Outdoor durability

Designed for outdoor use, both the holders and removable inserts are made out of durable, UV-resistant and weatherproof materials. Information added on the inserts should remain legible if written with a permanent marker. The holders can be tightly fastened to a wide range of equipment with cable ties, rivets, screws or adhesives.

A wide range of equipment tags

Visual tagging solutions each consist out of a durable holder and removable inserts. They facilitate compliance by keeping inspection records on the equipment itself. Inspectors can place the date of their inspection and their signature on the tag’s removable insert when the equipment is deemed fit for use. If not, the insert can be removed, leaving a clear ‘do not use’-message. Workers can immediately see on the equipment itself when it was last inspected and if it was deemed fit for use, along with additional vital safety information to avoid workplace accidents.
