The team at Barratt Homes has officially broken the ground at River Meadow, off Faringdon Road, to start the work on the stylish development.
With a total of 82 one to five bedroom homes to be built in a mixture of contemporary styles, the development will underpin roughly 164 jobs.
Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Southern said:
“We are delighted to be starting work at River Meadow and we’re looking forward to providing further investment in this growing community.
“Over the next few months, the development will begin to take shape and we are looking forward to adding onto the existing community, which is a great place to live in the countryside, but with fantastic access to a number of towns and cities.
“We look forward to welcoming our first residents later in the year.”
River Meadow is set in the charming village of Stanford in the Vale amongst the scenic Vale of the White Horse.
Adding onto the existing community built by sister company, David Wilson Homes, Barratt Homes will provide a greater variety of properties for prospective buyers.
A number of hedgehog highways, swift boxes, bat boxes and bird boxes will also be installed at the development to enhance biodiversity.
Homebuyers at River Meadow can benefit from the essentials on their doorstep, including a local pre-school, primary school, pub, village shop, post office, village hall and a hairdresser.
Faringdon and Wantage are also within five miles of the development and, for those venturing further afield, the vibrant centres of Oxford and Swindon are an easy commute away via the nearby A34 and M4.
House hunters who would like to register their interest in the development can do so by calling the Barratt Homes sales team on 0333 3558 495.
