Tilbury Douglas successfully completes construction of the new Tredegar Welsh Medium Primary School
Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has successfully completed the construction of the new Tredegar Welsh Medium Primary School, delivered three weeks ahead of programme, enabling pupils to move into their new school earlier than planned.
The new state-of-the-art school provides places for over 200 pupils and supports the continued growth of Welsh language education in the area, while creating a modern, high-quality learning environment for pupils, staff and the wider community.
The project also includes a full Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS), increasing the site’s water retention capacity by 30% and delivering long-term environmental benefits.
Chris Edmonds, Regional Director – South Wales at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “The team has worked tirelessly and collaboratively with the customer and supply chain to ensure the project not only remained on track, but was completed ahead of schedule.
Adding to this achievement, the project was recognised at the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards, with the team invited to attend a national awards ceremony later this year, reflecting the high standards demonstrated throughout delivery.”
