The Metal Cladding & Roofing Manufacturers Association

The Metal Cladding & Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) has added three new CPD modules to its online CPD programme.

The three new modules are based on the MCRMA guidance document Sustainability and durability of metal roofing and cladding systems and cover a range of topics including sustainability, environmental assessment methods, life cycle/whole life costings, recyclability and durability.

Traditionally, metal construction has been regarded simply as the envelope of industrial buildings. However, the environmental and sustainable benefits of metal, together with developments in colour and form are now recognised by clients, designers and engineers alike and has led to a much wider use of metal in construction.

There are now 19 approved CPDs available on the MCRMA website; the course material is studied offline with an online assessment component to verify knowledge. The modules represent an anticipated 60 – 120 minutes of professional development, and following successful completion of the CPD, a certificate is available for immediate download. All modules have been accredited by the CPD Certification Service.

MCRMA’s online CPD programme is open to anyone seeking to develop their knowledge and skills within the metal building envelope sector. Each module also offers members of professional institutions an opportunity to earn credit towards their annual CPD requirement.

For more than 30 years, MCRMA has been the leading trade association in the metal building envelope sector and is proud to represent the companies involved in the manufacture and supply of products, components and systems for the industrial, commercial and warehouse sector and also those companies who are involved in inspection and support services.
