Tee Off and Tackle Mental Ill Health – Join On The Tools for a Life-Changing Charity Golf Day
Golfers, supporters, and changemakers alike are invited to join On The Tools, Second City Screed, Band of Builders, and Construction Sport on Wednesday 12th June for an unforgettable day of sport and solidarity at the legendary Belfry Hotel and Resort in Sutton Coldfield: all in aid of mental health in construction.
With a 7:30 AM shotgun start on The Belfry’s Derby course, the day will raise funds for The Lost City campaign: a movement that confronts the devastating scale of suicide in the construction industry and provides tradespeople with access to free, life-saving therapy.
Set against the stunning Warwickshire countryside, this all-day event includes use of world-class PGA National Golf Academy practice facilities, a breakfast roll and hot drinks on arrival, a driving range token, 18 holes of golf, buggy hire, competition prizes, a golfer’s goody bag, and a private suite dinner to close the day
Individual tickets are £180 or £780 for a team of four. For those who’d prefer to enjoy the social side, tickets to the evening dinner and festivities are available for £85. All are welcome, whether you work in construction or simply want to support an urgent cause.
All proceeds from the day will go towards The Lost City campaign: a powerful initiative by On The Tools highlighting the mental health crisis in construction. Over the past decade, more than 7,000 construction workers have died by suicide: enough lives lost to have built an entire city. The campaign reimagines what could have been built if those lives had been saved, using that vision to drive urgent support: raising vital funds to provide tradespeople with free, life-saving counselling, and ensuring no more lives are lost to silence.
The golf day follows the powerful efforts of Joe Baker, Worcestershire tradesman and founder of Second City Screed, who is running 5k every day in May to honour the 7,000 construction workers lost to suicide in the past decade.
