Laing O’Rourke has welcomed new Chairman, Sir John Parker to the business today.

With over 50 years of experience in engineering and leadership roles, Sir John combines a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for technological advancement.

Sir John Parker who said that he was attracted to the “progressive nature of Laing O’Rourke” forged a strong working relationship with Ray O’Rourke while both served on the Anglo American board. Ray and Sir John will work closely to shape the organisation, develop its people, and create and implement strategies for continuing success. Initially, Sir John will concentrate on building early relationships with key clients and to driving innovation through the organisation.
