Modulek has successfully completed the design and delivery of a new state-of-the-art private aviation terminal for Signature Aviation at Glasgow Airport.

The terminal provides an updated gateway experience for general aviation passengers travelling through Scotland.

Appointed following a competitive design-and-build tender process against three other organisations, Modulek’s in-house design team developed a concept that combined premium hospitality, and the strict security requirements associated with a live airport environment.

The completed terminal delivers approximately 433 square metres [almost 5000 sq ft] of premium passenger and operational space and forms part of Signature Aviation’s continued global investment programme across key international aviation hubs.

Designed to elevate the passenger experience from the moment of arrival, the new facility includes a covered passenger drop-off zone, luxury lounges, meeting space, passenger shower facility and dedicated screening area.

One of the key architectural features of the building is the impressive double-height vaulted reception space, designed to create a spacious and welcoming arrival experience for passengers entering the terminal.

As part of the airport boundary, the project required careful coordination between architectural design, airport operations and aviation security requirements throughout the design and construction process.

Modulek delivered architectural design, off-site modular manufacturing, installation, internal fit-out and external works.
