Carrick Construction has announced the appointment of Steven McInroy as Managing Director, following the retirement of Stewart Aird, who spent eight years leading the business, from its inception through a period of rapid growth and commercial success.

Steven brings extensive experience in leadership, project delivery and operational management, and has played a key role in Carrick’s development over the last twelve months, following seven years with Mitie Group. His appointment reinforces Carrick’s commitment to providing clients with consistent, high-quality project delivery and increased capacity as demand continues to grow across both sports and environmental sectors.

Carrick Construction has built a strong reputation delivering specialist sports surfaces, including natural turf, hybrid synthetic pitches and irrigation systems, alongside environmental construction solutions, with a particular focus on SuDS, including rain gardens and blue-green infrastructure. Steven’s leadership will support the continued integration of these capabilities, enabling clients to benefit from a joined-up approach that improves programme certainty and sustainability outcomes.
