Datavant, the world-leading health data platform company that recently announced its expansion into Ireland, has revealed that its global R&D centre will be headquartered in a new 15,000 square foot office at the Bonham Quay campus in Galway city.

Datavant Ireland, which has plans to create 125 jobs initially in Galway, is taking the top two floors in the Calatrava building at Bonham Quay and will begin fitting them out on phased bases with the 7th floor scheduled for completion by mid September and the 6th floor by end of year.

The modern building complex, which is situated on the waterfront in the heart of the city centre, offers Datavant the opportunity to design state-of-the-art offices that will accommodate up to 160 work spaces with bespoke environments for company-wide town hall meetings, team meet ups, ideation sessions and recreational activities.

The design and fit out of the space will ensure that Datavant Ireland team members work in an environment that facilitates collaboration and innovation.

In selecting Bonham Quay, the company also felt that the property team’s commitment to creating a sustainable environment was a good fit for Datavant’s culture and values.

Bonham Quay uses the One Planet Living framework to meet its sustainability objectives, ensuring the offices are as environmentally and socially sustainable as possible. The framework aims to achieve a vision of a world where everyone lives healthy, happy lives within the limits of the planet.

The company has appointed internationally experienced technology business leader Deirdre Giblin as VP of Operations and Site Lead for Datavant Ireland. Deirdre’s initial focus will be on setting up all business operational activities to establish a state-of-the-art R&D centre at Bonham Quay.

Datavant VP of Operations and Site Lead for Datavant Ireland Deirdre Giblin says:

Datavant offers hybrid remote flexibility because we firmly believe in creating opportunities for our team members to excel in the environments that suit them best. Now, Datavant staff can combine working from a home office when it suits them to joining us in a state-of-the-art collaborative space in the heart of Galway that has been designed to foster both team and individual creativity.
