Youngsters Take a Look Behind the Scenes of New Homes Development

Schoolchildren got the chance to see behind the scenes of a new homes development in Leicestershire.
A group of youngsters from Hathern Primary School visited Hathern Edge, a newly-opened development off Zouch Road in Hathern, near Loughborough, to meet the team from developer William Davis Homes and find out about more about the new properties being built.
Assistant site manager Dan Claypole answered the children’s questions about the construction of the homes, while head of marketing Sarah Adul and sales manager Charlotte North told them all about how the homes are marketed to buyers.
The children also took a tour of the development’s new three-bedroom showhome and cut a ribbon to declare it officially open to visitors.
Jessica Scott, assistant headteacher at Hathern Primary School, said: “The kids loved the visit, it will definitely be something they will remember, and they asked lots of questions about the homes.
“There were lots of ‘wows’ when they were walking around the showhome, and on the walk back to school we looked at the construction side of the site so they could see houses being built.”
Sarah Adul, head of marketing at William Davis Homes, said: “Building strong links with the communities where we build new homes is always a priority for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the children from Hathern Primary School to site.
“They were really interested in the development and had some great questions for us.”
This is the second development which William Davis has built in Hathern – the housebuilder previously built the Daisy Bank development, which Hathern Edge will neighbour.
Hathern Edge is being built on a 6.9 acre piece of land and will comprise 56 new two to five-bedroom homes once complete.
