Work set to begin on new homes in Yate
Detailed plans for a new housing development in Yate have been approved by the local authority.
Bellway South West will be building a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Ladden Garden Village in Yate.
The site, which is just north of Brimsham Park, forms part of a planned neighbourhood of more than 2,000 new homes which was granted outline planning permission in 2015. A local centre, primary school, nursery, employment space and sports pitches are also included in the masterplan for the wider scheme.
The Bellway development will comprise 247 homes, including 86 affordable homes for local people through shared ownership or rent, alongside play areas and three sports pitches.
Rachel Way, sales manager for Bellway South West, said: “This new development will bring much-needed new homes to Yate and we are looking forward to starting construction on the site.
“We have worked closely with South Gloucestershire Council to ensure we are building a collection of homes at Ladden Garden Village which will provide something for everyone, from first-time buyers and downsizers to families.
“Ladden Garden Village promises to be a fantastic location for house-hunters in the area. As well as being just over ten miles from Bristol, the new neighbourhood will offer a great variety of amenities on the doorstep, including education, employment, and leisure facilities.
“We are expecting a great deal of interest in the new homes here, so I would encourage anyone interested to register for updates on our website.”
