Work progressing well at new housing development in Bidwell
The new homes at a housing development in Bidwell are beginning to take shape.
Housebuilder Bellway is building 165 new homes at Brambleside, off Thorn Road. The development forms part of a new neighbourhood to the north of Houghton Regis, which will provide up to 1,850 new homes.
As well as the new homes, the developer will also be providing new public open space, including footpaths, cycleways, orchards, and a children’s play area.
Since the first homes were released for sale last year, the development has proven popular among buyers, with 49 of the houses already being sold.
Lindsey Davenport, Sales Manager at Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “Ever since we launched the first homes at Brambleside, this development has seen a great deal of interest from local house-hunters.
“There is a great demand for new homes in the area – with many buyers securing a home here even during the lockdown period – so we are really pleased to be able to deliver a wide range of properties to help meet that need.
“As well as providing homes for buyers at all stage of the property ladder, the development also forms part of an upcoming new neighbourhood. When complete, Bidwell will offer residents a wealth of amenities right on their doorstep, including shops, leisure facilities and open countryside.
“We have a wide selection of three and four-bedroom homes currently available for sale at the development, with prices starting from £360,000, and two-bedroom designs coming soon, so I would encourage anyone interested to book an appointment with our sales team to find out more.” The housebuilder has also received planning permission to build a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes at Bellway at Linmere, around three miles from Brambleside. The first homes here are set to be released in the new year.
