Miller Homes West Midlands has appointed two new directors to enhance its senior leadership team from its regional offices in Worcester.

Carl Cooke, who joins Miller Homes from Taylor Wimpey, has been appointed into a newly-created sales director position, and becomes the first dedicated sales director to be employed directly by the West Midlands region of the national housebuilder.

New land director for Miller Homes, Neil Ballett, most recently worked with Avant Homes before moving to the Worcester-based housing firm.

The two new directors join the ranks at Miller Homes West Midlands with a combined 60 years of experience in the housing industry, working with both regional and national developers during their careers to-date.

Carl said: “It is a great privilege to become the first dedicated sales director for the West Midlands region of Miller Homes. I join the business at a moment of great opportunity for the region, and am thoroughly engaged with the direction we are heading in and the responsibility on me to play my part in delivering the sales required across our significant patch of the country.”

Neil Ballett becomes land director for a housebuilder who has already secured three new developments in 2024, to deliver upwards of 593 new homes across Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

Neil said: “Miller Homes is growing its portfolio across the West Midlands region and with several new land acquisitions already completed this calendar year, my role is to continue that forward momentum and deliver yet more land opportunities and contracts through the remainder of this year and beyond.”

Miller Homes West Midlands is currently working out of seven live sales outlets at developments across Warwickshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and the wider West Midlands area.

Darren Humphreys, managing director of Miller Homes West Midlands, said: “The appointments of both Carl and Neil come at a time of sustained yet still ambitious growth plans for Miller Homes West Midlands, and we are confident their individual skillsets and experience will add great value to the existing team here.

“I’d like to welcome them both to the team and collectively we look forward to achieving and exceeding our targets and driving the region forward to new heights.”

Miller Homes operates across 10 regional offices throughout the UK and centrally from its Edinburgh-based headquarters.

The housebuilder, who has achieved a 5* rated HBF status over several years in succession, is celebrating its 90th anniversary as a company in 2024.
