Providing warm homes & saving residents money

With a New Year often comes new promises – but for everyone at Align Property Partners, 2025 is all about building on recent successes.

Align’s national award-winning team of architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers and sustainability experts are leading on projects across the UK, from London to Scotland, and Wales to Cumbria.

But closer to home, they are at the forefront of an exciting decarbonisation drive sweeping across North Yorkshire.

Owned by North Yorkshire Council, Align has been retrofitting hundreds of homes to help drive down residents’ energy bills and tackle fuel poverty.

Their commitment to providing warm, energy-efficient homes has been recognised nationally and widely praised by residents and industry experts.

Align’s emphasis on sustainability and green energy in North Yorkshire, home to the UK’s largest unitary authority equating to an area four times the size of Greater London, has not gone unnoticed.

After being named North East consultancy of the year at the regional Energy Efficiency Awards in May, Align went on to win a further accolade at October’s national ceremony – taking home the award for Social Responsibility Company of the Year.

Align was also Highly Commended as National Energy Consultant of the Year, and their ongoing collaborative work with North Yorkshire Council on sustainability and energy efficiency saw them crowned Local Authority of the Year.

As for this year, Align and the council are preparing to roll out a wave of further improvements at hundreds of homes affected by problems such as poor-quality insulation and ineffective heating systems.

To help achieve this, Align will be launching a new framework and are particularly looking for bids from suppliers who can take on the role of principal contractors, or groups of suppliers who come together providing one or more of the services required as part of a group or consortium. Align are due to issue the tender documents for this opportunity on the 23rd of January 2025.

Managing director of Align, Ron Walton, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and by working with the council, we have provided hundreds of residents, businesses and other organisations with vital energy-saving advice and solutions.

“We are excited about maintaining this momentum in 2025 through this decarbonisation drive in North Yorkshire.”

Align’s multi-disciplinary team has over a decade of experience in delivering a wide range of building projects across many sectors. With offices spanning across the North, the award-winning company has delivered over 1000 projects with a capital value in excess of £500 million to clients.
