Ashberry Homes’ new St Mary’s View development in Blandford St Mary is now open to the public.

The housebuilder, which is part of the Bellway group, is building 143 new homes on the site off Bournemouth Road, forming the third phase of a wider new neighbourhood of 350 homes being delivered with Bellway Wessex.

St Mary’s View will comprise 115 properties for private sale and 28 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership. The homes for sale will include two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom apartments.

Building work on site began in October 2021 and the first two and three-bedroom houses have now gone on the market.

Julie Butt, Sales Manager for Ashberry Homes Wessex, said: “St Mary’s View was already proving popular before the launch, with lots of people registering their interest in the development online.

“This strength of interest has continued and we’ve already sold the first homes here. With construction progressing well, we expect our first residents will be able to move into their new homes this summer.

“We will also have showhomes opening soon to allow potential buyers the opportunity to see examples of the spacious layouts on offer at St Mary’s View and to envisage a life here in Blandford St Mary.

“There are many amenities within easy reach, such as Blandford St Mary CE Primary School, which is less than a mile away, making the development ideal for families with young children.

“Blandford St Mary also lies next to the attractive Georgian market town of Blandford Forum, with its independent shops and boutiques, as well as high street stores. It’s less than 20 miles to the coast at Bournemouth and there are good road links to the surrounding area via the A354 or the A350.”

The next phase of homes will be released for sale in the coming weeks.
