Morrison Utility services wins ROSPA Sir George Earle trophy for second time
Morrison Utility Services, the UK’s largest dedicated utility services provider and a part of M Group Services, has won the RoSPA Sir George Earle Trophy for a second time.
The Sir George Earle Trophy is the top award in the RoSPA Health & Safety Awards Scheme. It is awarded to the RoSPA Industry Sector Award winner demonstrating outstanding performance and commitment to health safety and wellbeing.
Each year, the three stand out Industry Sector Award winners are shortlisted for the Sir George Earle Trophy and invited to present to a RoSPA judging panel. The judging panel also visits each shortlisted organisation to assess their health and safety management systems and to learn more about their health and safety cultures through discussion with employees – ‘from the shop-floor to the boardroom’.
Morrison Utility Services Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Director Paul Kerridge commented: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly regarded in the field of health and safety and it is a fantastic achievement for our organisation and our people to have been awarded the Sir George Earle Trophy, RoSPA’s highest accolade, for a second occasion. The award underlines our commitment to accident and ill health prevention and sets the benchmark for the health and safety standards that we must maintain as we continue to evolve as a business.”
Adam Gosnold, Managing Director of the M Group Services Utilities Division, added: “This prestigious award is testament to our unrelenting focus on keeping our people, our business colleagues and the general public well and safe. The safety of our people and the communities we work in are a core value of our organisation and this honour recognises the continued effort and commitment of our people, particularly those working year-round, and in all weathers, on operational sites across the UK.”
