Housing developer introduces a new style of home in Fenham

The first homes at a new housing development in Fenham have now been released for sale off plan, as part of Bellway’s first-ever Artisan Collection development in Newcastle.

The city-based housebuilder is bringing 39 four and five-bedroom detached family homes to The Grange, on a former vacant school site off Grange Road. Bellway’s Artisan Collection is a brand-new range of house types, which have been named after traditional craft vocations.

The first homes available to reserve at The Grange are being sold from Bellway’s nearby Ottermead at Jameson Manor development in Ponteland, which can currently be visited on a strict appointment-only basis. The Grange is set to have its own on-site sales presence from late August.

Home-hunters can also take a virtual tour of the Plane housetype at The Grange, which can be viewed online.

There’s a choice of four and five-bedroom properties currently on sale with prices starting from £349,995. The first homes are due to be completed early next year.

Head of Sales for Bellway North East, Emma Chesterton, said: “These attractive and high-quality Artisan homes are certain to appeal to a wide range of buyers, while The Grange’s handy location makes it a great choice for people commuting to the city centre of Newcastle and other neighbouring towns.

“With additional space being a key element of these new Bellway designs, many of the homes have enough room downstairs to create an area to work from home if required, or an extra bedroom could be used as a study.

“And with outdoor space becoming a top priority for many home-hunters since the start of lockdown – in fact 45 per cent of homeowners recently surveyed by Nationwide* said they were now more aware of the importance of garden space – we’re pleased that all of the homes have both garages and gardens.

“This unique range of homes in a key commuter location is already drawing in lots of interest, and I’d encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch and book an appointment as soon as possible.”
