Housebuilder passes key milestone in Doveridge
More than half of the new homes for sale at a new housing development in Doveridge have now been reserved, reflecting the growing demand for new housing in this part of Derbyshire.
House-hunters at Bellway’s Dove Manor have been keen to secure a new home in this picturesque rural location, within easy reach of Uttoxeter, Burton-on-Trent and Derby.
The housebuilder is providing 62 new homes at the development off Derby Road, which will be made up of a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses.
As well as this, the developer will be building two exclusive one-bedroom apartments, ideal for first-time buyers or professionals.
The development also includes public open space and a children’s play area.
Bellway West Midlands Sales Director Marie Richards said: “We’ve seen rising interest in village locations from home-hunters keen to find a house in the country that also offers convenient transport links to nearby towns and cities.
“Doveridge ticks these boxes, with an attractive setting in the Derbyshire Dales, and just a few minutes from the A50 for journeys to Uttoxeter, three miles away, as well as Burton-on-Trent and Derby.
“It’s also a lovely historic village with a great community spirit, with amenities within walking distance including a village hall, a village store, a primary school, a pub and sports clubs.
“There are still a good range of properties available for everyone from first-time buyers to growing families – but potential buyers need to be quick.”
There’s two showhomes which can be viewed by appointment only at Dove Manor: a four-bedroom Lilac and the four-bedroom Bay.
Buyers at Dove Manor can also benefit from Bellway’s Express Mover scheme, in which Bellway works with a recommended local agent to sell their current home as quickly as possible – with no estate agent fees to pay.
