Highways UK, the must-attend event for the highways and road infrastructure sector

Highways UK, taking place on 18th-19th  October, is the must-attend event for the highways and road infrastructure sector in the United Kingdom, featuring 10,000+ attendees, 375+ exhibitors, 300+ speakers and 100+ startups. The event is free to attend and is the place for market knowledge, innovation and new business for the entire value chain.

The industry needs to work together to become smarter, greener, more efficient – and soon, as we all know what the stakes are. That’s precisely why we need Highways UK.

Working alongside National Highways as our official partner as well as an influential advisory board with key leaders from across the sector, Highways UK covers the key topics, issues and concerns that matter.

Our high-level, multi-stream conference includes 12 theatres covering everything from digital construction, sustainable civil materials, research and policy and electric vehicles and alternative fuels. In 2023, our keynote stage will feature senior leaders from National Highways, Department for Transport, National Infrastructure Commission, Skanska, Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall and FM Conway.

The supplier-led exhibition showcases the best of what the UK roads sector has on offer. From the latest developments in construction equipment, connectivity, road surface treatments and intelligent transport systems, the trade show floor has something aimed at every level of the supply chain. This year, we have huge support from the UK’s leading Tier 1 contractors including Kier Highways, Tarmac, Atkins, Mott MacDonald and Arcadis.

We understand that innovation is desperately needed in this sector in order to decarbonise, which is why we offer start-ups who are disrupting the sector a free exhibition place to connect them to the UK’s most influential investors. Some of the start-ups confirmed already confirmed for this year include carbon monitoring software, smart wearable technology, e-mobility, and wall-climbing robotics. To apply for a place in our start-up zone, please visit the Highways UK website.

Highways UK also takes time to recognise projects, teams and individuals that go above and beyond to change the sector for the better through our Excellence Awards which take place on 18th October. For 2023 we have new catergories that focus on net-zero, social value and well as site and road safety schemes.
