Harlequin Brickwork joins the Masonry Association of Great Britain
The Masonry Association of Great Britain (MAGB) is proud to welcome Harlequin Brickwork as its newest member.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Ascot, Harlequin has established itself as one of the UK’s leading specialists in bricklaying and stonework with a strong reputation for precision, quality and professionalism. Combining a highly skilled, carefully trained workforce with meticulous project management.
The company delivers a wide range of projects, from bespoke residential homes and heritage restorations to major commercial and infrastructure developments. At Royal Air Force Bentley Priory, the team delivered careful, precise brickwork for a site of great historical importance, blending modern construction needs with respect for its heritage. More recently, Harlequin completed a £3.25 million student accommodation development in Brighton with Bouygues UK. Over 18 months, the team brought to life a complex concrete frame fully clad in traditional white brickwork, topped with a striking triangular brick roof that has quickly become a standout feature in the city’s skyline.
Launched in early 2025, the MAGB serves as the national trade body for masonry contractors, manufacturers and specialists in the UK, with the goal of uniting the masonry supply chain, supporting workforce development, and providing a platform to promote technical excellence, sustainability and best practice across the industry. Through the launch of the National Masonry Academy and a network of strategic training hubs across the UK, MAGB is setting a new benchmark for skills development and workforce training, helping to shape the next generation of masonry professionals and driving innovation within the construction sector.
Eve Livett, Chief Executive of MAGB, comments: “Harlequin Brickwork’s reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, dedication to high standards and commitment to workforce development aligns perfectly with MAGB’s mission and we are thrilled to welcome them. Each new member strengthens our network, enhances the quality of the industry as a whole, and helps us collectively address key challenges such as skills development, sustainability and industry innovation.”
Billy Sutcliffe, Founder and Group Managing Director of Harlequin Brickwork, adds: “What an absolute pleasure to be able to announce that Harlequin Brickwork Ltd is joining such a forward-thinking Association. I firmly believe that the MAGB will play a pivotal role in the masonry industry in the future. The commitment is there to make a difference to apprenticeships, health and safety, and the quality which our industry continually strives to improve.”
Membership in MAGB provides access to a broad range of resources, including professional training, networking opportunities, regulatory guidance and advocacy at the national level. The association also fosters collaboration among contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, encouraging knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices to elevate standards across the sector.
