Project manager at Kingsmere Park in Dorset wins his 26th award from the National House Building Council
The project manager at Bellway’s Kingsmere Park development in Ferndown, Dorset, has won a prestigious industry award from the National House Building Council – his 26th.
Dave Murnane was presented with a Seal of Excellence in the Pride in the Job awards ceremony for the South West, which was held at Bournemouth International Centre.
The NHBC runs the awards every year, judging all the sites that it has registered across the UK – more than 8,000 this year. In the initial stages it gives out highly prized Quality Awards and this year 449 were awarded.
Those winners then go on to be judged for the Seal of Excellence and Dave was among them. This latest win takes him to a total of 26 Pride in the Job awards.
Dave said: “Striving to achieve a Pride in the Job award every year is an incredible motivator for me. Meeting the high standards that the NHBC inspectors are looking for gives me immense satisfaction.
“I know that if I achieve what they are looking for in terms of attention to detail, leadership, and technical expertise while ensuring that health and safety standards are properly maintained, I am running a high-quality professional site. It also means our customers will move into an excellent property.
“Winning a Quality Award and a Seal of Excellence this year has made me very proud.”
Dave has worked in construction for 38 years, with 23 of them being with Bellway.
Construction Director for Bellway Wessex, Matthew Nicklin, said: “To win a Pride in the Job award is a fantastic achievement for any site manager or project manager, so to win 26 of them across your career demonstrates a level of professionalism and attention to detail that is highly impressive.
“The NHBC examines its sites closely and rightly sets a very high standard for them. Dave has a laser focus on achieving those standards consistently and I’d like to congratulate him wholeheartedly for winning yet another Pride in the Job award.”
Bellway is building a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses at Kingsmere Park.
