MEPS International helps celebrate success of family-run construction businesses
MEPS International is preparing to celebrate the success of family-run construction businesses through sponsorship of the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards 2023.
The global steel market intelligence provider is sponsoring the Construction, Property, and Engineering Category at the annual awards event which is currently attracting nominations and entries.
MEPS International director Jayne Craven will be part of the awards’ judging panel ahead of a prestigious prize-giving ceremony at The Majestic Hotel, in the Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate, on November 10.
“It is an absolute pleasure to be part of the judging panel for this year’s Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards and for MEPS to sponsor the Construction, Property and Engineering Category,” Craven said.
“The team at MEPS know first-hand the benefits that being a family-run business brings to both customers and employees. As a steel market intelligence provider, we’re also very much aware of the challenges that the construction, property and engineering sectors have experienced in recent years and continue to overcome.
“Being part of an event that celebrates the family-run businesses from our region that continue to succeed, and helping to ensure they receive the recognition they deserve, is a huge honour. It’s something I’m very much looking forward to.”
Co-founded by Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth, the Family Business Community is a trusted network for family-run businesses. It creates connections and networking opportunities that allow businesses to share their experience and insight.
Clarkson said the organisation was “absolutely delighted” to have MEPS International join as sponsors for the Construction, Property, and Engineering Category at the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards.
Howorth added:
“The expertise of MEPS and its global reputation in the construction and engineering sector bring immense value to our event. We are grateful for their support in recognising and celebrating the achievements of family businesses in our region.”
Co-hosting the organisation’s Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards alongside Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson will be renowned food and drink broadcaster and writer Nigel Barden.
Tickets for the awards ceremony are now on sale via the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards website.
Nominations and entries can also be made via the platform. The deadline for nominations is August 28. Businesses’ own individual entries must be submitted by September 8.
