Underpinned by our comprehensive, end-to-end project management, Wren Contracts has solidified its reputation as an industry leader. Here’s a look at some of this year’s standout projects that define our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Continued success with McGoff Construction
McGoff Construction, a privately owned £85m turnover business known for its award-winning projects, began its collaboration with Wren Contracts in March 2023 for their 39-unit Downs Quarter project in Altrincham. The successful partnership, underpinned by Wren’s end-to-end project management and product quality, led McGoff to award Wren their next significant project: a 237-unit development on Rochdale Road, Manchester, where kitchen and potential bedroom installations are set to begin soon.
Damian Purnell, Site Manager at McGoff, highlighted the positive experience: “Wren are a great addition to our team, fully understanding our requirements and delivering quality workmanship that ensures our projects run smoothly and meet the highest standards. McGoff Construction had no hesitation in selecting Wren as our kitchen supplier for our 237-unit apartment development on Rochdale Road in Manchester and we look forward to working with them again.”
A trusted partner for Cala Homes
The partnership with Cala Homes began in June 2024 and demonstrates Wren’s ability to handle large-scale developments. At the 125-plot Barden Croft development, Cala chose Wren for their extensive product range, end-to-end service and project management. The project, set to complete by June 2026, features a range of Easy Fit and Infinity kitchens, tailored to the specifications of each plot.
Tony Jenner, Project Manager at Cala, praised Wren’s work: “From site measure to sign off the whole process was carried out to the highest standards. Delivery was carried out with the highest respect for the plots, with protection installed to the front door and units placed in build-order to make it easier for the installer. Installation was carried out to the highest standard and protection was the best I have seen in a long time. Supervision was top class; I can’t remember seeing so many people doing checks. Replacements were delivered in a few days and fitted straight away. The whole experience using Wren was a delight.”
A successful collaboration with Short Bros Developments
Wren Contracts collaborated with Short Bros Developments on their Gwenllian Gardens project in Mynydd y Garreg, near Kidwelly. This 25-home development is designed to offer high-quality, energy-efficient homes in keeping with Short Bros’ vision of providing affordable and sustainable housing.
Michael Kaverner, Planning & Development Director at Short Bros, explained: “We chose Wren Contracts for several reasons. I actually have a Wren kitchen at home, and I can honestly say I love it. We wanted to give our homeowners that same sense of affection for their living space. We carefully evaluated other suppliers, but none could match the level of service and personal touch that Wren offered. From the outset, it was evident that Wren was invested in our project’s success. Without a doubt, we would choose Wren Contracts for our next development. Their commitment to quality, personalisation and exceptional service means we have 25 very happy customers.”
Despite the challenges of Kidwelly’s remote location, Wren’s dedicated Field Installation Manager ensured seamless support, with regular site visits and attentive project management. This dedication left 25 homeowners delighted with their bespoke kitchens, as homeowner, Dominik Kania commented: “We had a Wren kitchen in the past, so we knew we were in for a treat when we realised Wren was the kitchen contractor for our new house. The whole experience has been nothing short of fantastic, we are thoroughly impressed with the quality of their kitchens and the service we received.”
