Work at new Towcester development set to be completed this summer

Work on the new houses at Bellway’s new development in Towcester is set to be completed this summer.

The housebuilder is delivering a total of 90 new homes at Farriers Court, comprising 73 houses for private sale and 17 affordable properties available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

With construction nearing the final stages, just eight houses – including the three-bedroom Lichfield showhome – are now for sale. There is one three-bedroom property remaining and the rest are four-bedroom homes.

Work on the houses at the site, which is just a short walk from Towcester town centre, started in 2019 and is expected to finish in July.

Elaine Brown, Head of Sales for Bellway South Midlands, said: “The final stage of construction at Farriers Court is now upon us and we are looking forward to welcoming our last residents to the development this summer.

“There has been a growing demand for homes in southern Northamptonshire and Towcester in particular. This thriving market town is popular with families, first-time buyers and commuters because of its attractive rural setting, good schools, and proximity to the A5 and A43.

“We have made a significant contribution towards meeting this demand at Farriers Court, where a three-bed and range of four-bedroom houses are still available to buy. These properties will cater for buyers with different requirements, from those looking to downsize slightly to families searching for a bigger home.

“In addition to providing much-needed new homes for Towcester, we are also delivering an investment of more than £600,000 in the local area as part of the planning agreement for the development. This funding will boost vital services such as primary and secondary education, public transport and the fire service, as well as supporting public art, sports and recreation, and kerbside recycling.”
