North East-based audio visual specialists Universal AV have provided a professional and functional upgrade to Simply Learning’s Jarrow training site, allowing for an elevated learning experience.

Simply Learning is a national training provider, delivering vital skills and qualifications across construction, utilities, engineering, and manufacturing industries. After a training session with the business, members of the Universal AV team who attended noticed the technology currently installed was holding back the learning experience – the space and expertise were there, but the AV setup was past its prime.

Universal AV approached Simply Learning, offering their AV knowledge to find a solution. The goal of the project was clear: modernise the learning space while keeping things simple, intuitive, and effective for day-to-day use, alongside working with the established teaching style, which relies heavily on dry-erase boards.

The AV specialists carried out a commercial display upgrade, replacing old and dim projectors with Sony commercial-grade display screens with easy HDMI connectivity. Simply Learning chose the Sony screens because their crystal-clear visuals and ‘plug-and-play’ simplicity allowed for minimal disruption to the teaching style tutors were familiar with.

The installation was a success, seeing five training rooms upgraded in total, with both 75” LED displays and 65” LED displays used, depending on the room’s needs, and resulting in high-quality facilities reflective of the care and commitment of Simply Learning’s training standards.
