Switch2 Energy named finalist at UK Customer Experience Awards 2025

Leading heat network solutions provider, Switch2 Energy has been named as a finalist in the prestigious UK Customer Experience Awards, for their development of smart metering technology which will help transform how we pay our heating and utility bills and give consumers more control over their energy use on residential heat networks.

The Bradford-based company has been recognised in the Best Product or Service Development category for their innovative new G10 Smart Metering Hub.

The G10 smart meter sets a new standard in smart metering, offering residents a more user-friendly experience while providing operators greater control over their heat networks. With advanced data capabilities and direct access for housing associations and property owners, the G10 supports proactive maintenance, improves energy efficiency, and lowers operational costs. Crucially, it also helps operators get regulation-ready by providing the detailed consumption data and transparent billing tools required to meet evolving industry standards.

Developed and manufactured in the UK, the G10 was shaped by direct customer feedback to ensure it meets the needs of both residents and operators. It delivers real-time usage data, automatic meter readings, a simple and intuitive interface, and the first-of-its-kind tap-to-pay functionality—making energy management easier and more accessible for everyone involved.
