Persimmon Homes hosts business launch at Harlestone Grange development

A national housebuilder has opened the doors of its latest community to businesses and stakeholders around Northamptonshire.

Harlestone Grange – located off York Way in Northampton – has been developed in partnership with David Wilson Homes and will deliver up to 3,000 new homes to the area, supporting local housing needs. Of these homes, 100 will be affordable homes delivered by West Northamptonshire Council and a further 200 will be transferred to a housing association partner for rent and shared ownership.

Along with the boost to local housing, the scheme will create new jobs as part of the construction, bring new infrastructure to the area and generate £16m worth of investment into the local community through its Section 106 agreement with West Northamptonshire Council.

The opening was marked by a visit from key local businesses, including SD Carpentry, Life Plastering, T & W Groundworkers, Franklins Solicitors, Richard Greener Estate agents, Horts Estate Agents, ID Verde Landscapes and Evolution Graphics. Also in attendance were key local stakeholders from West Northamptonshire Council.

Claire Dearsley, Sales Director for Persimmon Homes Midlands said: “This is a hugely exciting development for the Persimmon Midlands business, and it was a delight to be able to open our doors to businesses and stakeholders.

“Harlestone Grange is providing a range of high-quality homes in Northamptonshire, helping to address the need for new quality housing whilst at the same time making important contributions to local services and infrastructure. We look forward to working with nearby businesses and the relevant local authorities whilst we continue to develop this flagship regional development over the coming years.”
