New homes development to launch in Rolleston-on-Dove

A new 100-home development is set to launch in a Staffordshire village next month.

Five-star builder Bellway is building the homes on a 14.7-acre site in Rolleston-on-Dove, near Burton upon Trent.

The first homes at the development, which has been named Rolleston Manor, are to be released for sale in the summer.

Located off Forest School Street, the development will comprise a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties, including 28 bungalows. Seven of the homes will be allocated as affordable housing while Bellway will provide funding to deliver a further eight affordable homes off-site.

As part of the planning agreement for Rolleston Manor, Bellway will also contribute more than £650,000 to local services and infrastructure, including £535,000 to local schools, £60,000 towards landscaping and public open space and £50,000 for community facilities.

Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said:

“The new homes in Rolleston-on-Dove have a lovely, picturesque village location and yet they’re just a 10-minute drive from Burton upon Trent and 25 minutes from Derby.

“The good variety of houses and bungalows means there will be something on this development for everybody, from first-time buyers to downsizers, and from growing families to professionals commuting to the nearby towns.

“Rolleston Manor will be within walking distance of the village’s range of facilities, including the local primary school, which is rated good by Ofsted. The site also has good links to the national road network, with the A38 being located just a mile away.”
