Morrison Utility Services (MUS), the UK’s largest dedicated utility service provider and part of M Group Services, has won three awards at the 2019 Street Works UK Awards.

·         Delivering for Customers – in recognition of the ‘Every Customer Counts’ customer service programme, designed and developed as part of a strategic review of the changing regulatory landscape and evolving customer care requirements during utility street works

·         Project of the Year – in recognition of collaboration between Wales & West Utilities (WWU), Morrison Utility Services and Steve Vick for the ‘Live’ live mains insertion (LMI) on Wickwar Road, Bristol. The project involved a record breaking insertion for large diameter PE pipe and was the first time the ‘Live’ LMI technique has ever been used by a Gas Distribution Network worldwide, delivering significant benefits to WWU and its customers

·        Innovation Excellence – presented toMorrison Utility Services, Yorkshire Water and Elgin for the development and roll-out of the Works Planning Module, an integrated desktop risk assessment tool that brings together a multitude of relevant datasets for integrated street works planning in order to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

The awards were presented at a reception hosted by Street Works UK on 27 November in Welford Road Stadium, Leicester.
