Morrison Data Services receives international safety award

Morrison Data Services, a leading data services provider to energy and water utility retailers in the UK and Ireland, and part of M Group Services, has won an International Safety Award (with Merit) from the British Safety Council.

The awards recognise and celebrate organisations from around the world which have shown a true dedication to keeping their people and workplaces healthy and safe over the last year.

This year, Morrison Data Services is one of just 509 organisations of all sizes and across all sectors to have been presented with an International Safety Award.

Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, said:

“It is our vision at the British Safety Council that no-one should be injured or made ill through their work – anywhere in the world. Achieving this requires organisations to invest in workplace health, safety and wellbeing. But it also depends on business leaders, managers and staff making health and safety a reality and inspiring their colleagues to do the same. The International Safety Awards recognise those who have made outstanding achievements in health and safety across the world.

“By celebrating the achievements of the winners of the 2020 International Safety Awards, we encourage other organisations to follow their lead and place employees’ health and safety at the heart of their business. Our warmest congratulations to Morrison Data Services. They should be truly proud of their achievement.”

Stephen Quinlan, Morrison Data Services Head of Health and Safety, commented:

“Putting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and all those who come into contact with our business is a core value of our organisation. This award offers further evidence of the excellent health and safety standards that we set across all of our operations and provides well deserved recognition for our people who play such an integral role in championing and delivering safety and safe working practices each day. Our hard work must now continue to ensure that these first class standards are maintained moving forward.”
