Morris Homes Celebrates Multiple Industry Award Wins Across North West and Central Regions

Morris Homes has been recognised regionally across multiple categories at The Building Excellence Awards 2026, hosted by LABC. With four wins and one highly commended, the housebuilder has celebrated success for exceptional construction standards and the expertise of its teams.

Morris Homes won the Best High Volume New Housing Development category in the East Midlands for Hugglescote Grange, while Broadacre in Lancashire was Highly Commended in the same category in the North West. The housebuilder also secured three Construction Specialist of the Year awards, with Rob Duckworth and Shaun Myers named winners in the North West and Scott Preston in the Central region.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards celebrate quality, competence and a commitment to driving up standards across the construction industry. Companies, projects, and individuals that demonstrate excellence are recognised across 12 regions in England and Wales. Judges take into consideration the quality of projects and expertise of those involved, with categories recognising high-quality housing developments alongside construction specialists who demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication, and effective collaboration with Building Control and other stakeholders.

Gregg Taylor, Construction Director at Morris Homes comments; “Being recognised for five LABC awards reflects the continued strength of Morris Homes’ teams across our regional operations, and the expertise involved in delivering high-quality new homes and developments for our customers.

“We are particularly proud to have three individuals win the Construction Specialists awards. They have each gone above and beyond when it comes to working within and alongside the community and our suppliers, and to have this work recognised is fantastic. The awards are hugely deserved.”

Hugglescote Grange in Leicestershire offers two, three and four-bedroom homes across a range of architectural styles, with the development championing landscaping and bringing nature to each home. Located close to Hugglescote village and Sence Valley Forest Park, the scheme combines a semi-rural setting with convenient connections.

Set within the popular coastal town of Lytham St Annes, Broadacre was designed with modern family living in mind, offering a selection of sought-after house types. While the development has now sold out, homebuyers can still discover a range of one to four-bedroom homes nearby at the highly desirable Bartle Meadows development in Preston.

The awards demonstrate Morris Homes’ commitment to quality across its regional developments. From construction standards and technical expertise to effective communication and collaboration, the accolades reflect the housebuilder’s focus on quality throughout the construction process and delivering homes designed for modern living.
