More Room for Pilgrims – Two WOLFF Cranes Support Hotel Project in Medina

Wolffkran Saudi Arabia is contributing to the construction of a hotel project in Al Madinah (Medina), Saudi Arabia. Two WOLFF cranes are being used for the lifting operations: a WOLFF 6031 Clear and a WOLFF 7532 Cross. Installed on WOLFF foundation anchors, both cranes support the construction work with large working ranges and lifting capacities of 12 and 16 tonnes respectively. The WOLFF 6031 Clear reaches a hook height of 86.6 metres with a 60-metre jib, while the WOLFF 7532 Cross operates with a 75-metre jib and a hook height of 73.1 metres.

Al Madinah is considered one of Islam’s most important pilgrimage destinations alongside Mecca and welcomes millions of visitors every year. The new hotel project, commissioned by the Saudi construction company Ansab, is intended to create additional capacity for pilgrims and other guests. The project is one of numerous developments through which Wolffkran contributes to the continued expansion of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and tourism sector – one of the company’s most important growth markets.
