Kerr Office Group (KOG) is celebrating 40 years in business in 2026, marking four decades of helping organisations create workspaces where people and businesses can thrive. Founded in 1986 in Swindon by Jonathan (Jon) Kerr, the company has grown from a local office supplies firm into a trusted office interior design and build specialist working with clients across the UK.
From its earliest days, KOG has been built around an unwavering focus on the client. Jon Kerr launched the business at the age of 21 and combined hands-on project delivery with day-to-day commercial decision-making, putting customer relationships and service at the heart of every decision. Over the years his role has evolved to be less heavily involved in the operational side of the business, enabling him to dedicate even more time to understanding client ambitions and guiding complex workplace projects from concept to completion, ensuring client satisfaction and playing a key role in why so many clients become long-term partners and advocates of the Kerr brand.
Today, KOG remains proudly family-led, with Jon’s son Alex taking over the reins as CEO in 2022 and his other son Harry playing a key role in the business as an Estimator. This next generation of leadership is supported by additional family members within the company, reinforcing a culture where people take ownership, act with accountability and treat each other like family, while still operating at a scale that enables KOG to deliver substantial, complex projects. As clients’ needs have changed, so has KOG. What began as a provider of office products steadily expanded into workplace furniture, interior fit-out and, ultimately, full turnkey design and build services. Today, the company’s network delivers end-to-end solutions, from workplace strategy and space planning through to detailed design, build, furniture and ongoing support, helping organisations navigate new ways of working and get the most from their space.
