Laing o’Rourke hat trick for nations top innovators list
Laing O’Rourke has taken out the 16th spot on AFR’s Top 100 Most Innovative Companies list, marking three top 20 results from three entries.
The Australian Financial Review Most Innovative Companies list (previously the BRW Most Innovative Companies list) is now in its sixth year, ranks the most innovative organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
Laing O’Rourke’s submission was based on an innovative engineering solution, known as the Toolbox Spotter.
The Toolbox Spotter emerged as a collaborative development between project delivery teams and Laing O’Rourke’s EnExG, and was developed in response to the need for new and improved approaches to hazard spotting and making sites safer.
Australia Hub Managing Director Cathal O’Rourke said he was extremely proud to have Laing O’Rourke recognised for its commitment to innovation once again.
“This outcome is the result of our people thinking differently about the way we go to work, and I want to thank everyone involved in championing innovation in our business – this is how we drive value for our clients and how we will achieve our mission to become the industry’s leader in innovation and excellence,” Mr O’Rourke said.
“We are delivering exciting step-changes that have the potential to change the very nature of the construction industry.”
