JELD-WEN the UK’s leading manufacturer of timber windows, doors and stairs is helping architects keep up to date on the latest developments in conservation timber windows with its new RIBA-approved CPD course.

The free seminar from JELD-WEN is titled: ‘Timber Windows in Conservation’ and focuses on timber window performance and the latest technology that enables the production of sympathetic windows for sensitive planning areas, listed and historic buildings, or modern, traditional style buildings.

The new one hour course covers two core curriculum subject areas: ‘Climate’ and ‘Designing and Building’ and is available by registering your details on-line. JELD-WEN will also be running the seminar as part of the RIBA roadshow in Durham on 3 March and in London on 28 April – visit www.ribacpd.com/cpdroadshow to register.

Mike Ward, Managing Director at JELD-WEN said: “Specifying external joinery products for areas of conservation can be a challenge for architects who are bound by strict Building Regulations and planning requirements. Our new CPD course shows all of the options available as well as covering core curriculum subjects.

“As a leading manufacturer we believe we have an obligation to pass on our expertise to architects and the wider industry. Not only do we find our free seminars benefit professionals, we also benefit from the feedback and trend insights we receive at the sessions from those working in the industry.”
