Farrans Opens Applications for 60 Graduate, Placement and Apprenticeship Roles

Leading civil engineering and building contractor, Farrans, a Sisk Company, has opened applications for its 2027 graduate, placement and apprenticeship positions, offering 60 aspiring construction professionals the opportunity to take the next step in their careers.

Successful candidates in this application round will join the business in June and September 2027.

Farrans specialises in innovative and sustainable solutions for the water, energy, aviation, transportation, marine, public sector, industrial and commercial sectors across the UK, Ireland and Europe. The business employs more than 600 people and has offices in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Monaghan and Belfast.

Created to support graduates at the start of their careers, Farrans Foundation is the company’s award winning two-year graduate programme which combines practical site experience with structured learning, mentoring and professional development. Graduates gain exposure to major projects while working towards professional accreditation with recognised industry bodies.

Opportunities are available across a wide range of disciplines, including civil engineering and quantity surveying.

Undergraduate placement opportunities are available offering practical experience on a full-year or a summertime only basis. High-performing placement students may receive bursaries to support their final year of study.

Apprenticeship opportunities are also open for those who want to earn while they learn. Farrans’ apprenticeships combine hands-on experience on live projects with structured training and recognised qualifications, giving apprentices the opportunity to develop practical skills alongside experienced industry professionals.

Graduates, placements and apprentices in Farrans have the opportunity to work on nationally significant projects across the aviation, water and energy sectors, contributing to infrastructure that improves communities across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The application process will remain open until December 2026, with interviews taking place throughout autumn. Offers will be made in early 2027.
