Swantest provided a full series of load capacity tests to check the parapet along the Liberty Lane footbridge which is located over the M25 Motorway. The purpose of these tests was to check if the existing parapet was still fit for purpose.

We set up and installed a number of ‘push tests’ along the parapet. Loading each section incrementally and recording displacement throughout. We have various types of test rigs that can be set up to suit all types of parapet structures.

As well as load testing the parapet itself, we also carried out a number of pull out test on the holding down anchors of the parapet posts.
