Bellway London’s Barking Project Team moves onto development site

Bellway London’s Barking Project Team has moved its offices right into the heart of the new neighbourhood it is creating at Barking Riverside.
Employees from the team’s technical, commercial, sales and construction departments are now based at the new premises next door to the homebuilder’s Fielders Quarter development.
Bellway London is currently in the process of delivering more than 2,300 homes at Barking Riverside, a major regeneration project transforming the former Barking Power Station site. A total of 20,000 homes are proposed for the wider site, with Bellway London set to build at least 4,000 of these if planning permission is secured for the remainder of the scheme.
David Burns, Managing Director of Bellway London’s Barking Project Team, said: “Barking Riverside is a landmark regeneration scheme delivering thousands of much-needed sustainable new homes for the capital. Given the scale and significance of the development, we felt it was important to have the dedicated team that plans and manages the project based right here in the heart of the new neighbourhood we are creating.
“We are committed to building new homes at Barking Riverside for at least another decade and our decision to move the Barking Project Team into new offices within the development reflects our ongoing commitment to the regeneration of the area.”
Bellway London is building more than 2,300 homes in total at its Fielders Quarter and Eastbrooke Village developments. The first four phases of Fielders Quarter are complete and Bellway is currently working on the fifth phase where it is building 440 homes, including 159 affordable properties.
At Eastbrooke Village, the first residents have moved into their homes on the first phase which is made up of 107 homes. The first homes have been released for sale in the second phase, The Point at Eastbrooke Village, where Bellway London is building 167 properties.
