Bellrock Ranks High on Building Top 150 Consultants Table Following Year of Significant Growth

Bellrock Consulting, the property and construction advisory specialist, has been ranked 27th in Building magazine’s Top 150 Consultants league table.

Building’s annual Top 150 provides a valuable snapshot of the UK’s professional services sector, ranking firms by fee income and providing insight into their scale, workforce and areas of activity. The table is widely recognised as an important benchmark for the UK’s construction consultancy industry.

Why is this important? Bellrock’s UK fee income rose 51.8% to £54.8m, up from £36.1m, making it the second-fastest growing firm by fees in the top 130 and the fastest in the top 30. Over the same period, its UK headcount grew from 296 to 412, while the number of chartered staff more than doubled from 47 to 99.

In December 2025, Bellrock expanded into Scotland through the acquisition of Axiom, a respected property and construction consultancy. Axiom now forms part of Bellrock’s Consulting Division alongside JRP, Oakleaf & Nifes, C&P and Summers Inman, strengthening the division’s capabilities across property and construction advisory services.

Summers Inman, which Bellrock acquired in 2025, brings more than 100 years of heritage to the Consulting Division. The firm provides cost management, quantity surveying, project management and building surveying services to private and public sector clients across the UK, including Pepsi and McDonald’s. Combining that century of experience with Bellrock’s technology-led approach has broadened the division’s service offering and opened up new growth opportunities across the UK.

In February 2026, Bellrock announced the strategic unification of its specialist advisory brands under the Bellrock Consulting name. The technology-led business provides advice and services for complex, compliance-driven estates and is headed by property leader Dan Weiss.

Weiss joined Bellrock from Sodexo, where he was Chief Growth Officer for its £2bn UK & Ireland business. He previously spent 11 years at Atkins and four years at Faithful+Gould, where he led its Strategic Asset Management practice.

Alongside its growth and expansion, Bellrock has made significant investments in artificial intelligence, establishing a dedicated AI function, a clear governance framework and a company-wide programme designed to help employees use AI safely and effectively.

The impact is already being seen across the business. Bellrock’s SI Bid Writer is now in production, accelerating tender drafting and improving consistency, while a growing suite of AI assistants is being used across Consulting to halve drafting time for fee proposals, CVs and quantity surveying take-offs. One operational automation has reduced a manual task from up to 40 hours a week to around two, freeing capacity for higher-value work.

This investment in AI skills, confidence and leadership was recognised earlier this month when Bellrock and its Head of AI, Richard Merrett, received the inaugural Humanity in AI Award for AI Literacy and Enablement. Presented by AI knowledge platform MeBeBot, the global awards recognise organisations and leaders putting human impact at the heart of AI adoption.

In December, Bellrock was listed in the 2025/26 Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List, recognising its commitment to enlightened employment practices at all levels.

“Bellrock has made great strides over the last 12 months,” said Dan Weiss, Managing Director of Bellrock Consulting. “We’ve almost doubled our headcount, won several significant new contracts and successfully integrated AI into our workflows and our culture. To see that progress reflected in this year’s result is a great recognition of the efforts made by everyone at Bellrock to drive the business forward in a responsible, sustainable and progressive way.”
