Building work has now come to an end on the first phase of a new housing development in the village of North Leigh.

Bellway South Midlands has delivered 40 new homes as part of phase one of Shepherds Walk, off New Yatt Road.

All but three homes have been sold on this phase, and work is well underway on phase two of the development, which is located on the other side of New Yatt Road and will bring a further 76 homes to the area.

Shepherds Walk is providing new public open space within both phases of the development, including retained meadow and a new children’s play area, while residents can enjoy living in a sustainable location, within walking distance of the village’s primary school, pubs and restaurants, and post office.

Prices for the home start at £395,000 and include an incentive package worth £6,000.  Prospective buyers will be able to take advantage of the government-backed Help to Buy scheme and the stamp duty holiday.
