Construction work finishes on first phase of North Leigh development
Building work has now come to an end on the first phase of a new housing development in the village of North Leigh.
Bellway South Midlands has delivered 40 new homes as part of phase one of Shepherds Walk, off New Yatt Road.
All but three homes have been sold on this phase, and work is well underway on phase two of the development, which is located on the other side of New Yatt Road and will bring a further 76 homes to the area.
Shepherds Walk is providing new public open space within both phases of the development, including retained meadow and a new children’s play area, while residents can enjoy living in a sustainable location, within walking distance of the village’s primary school, pubs and restaurants, and post office.
Head of Sales for Bellway South Midlands, Elaine Brown, said: “We have had a range of buyers find their dream home at Shepherds Walk, with families purchasing the larger homes we have on offer, and first-time buyers able to have their choice of a range of smaller, yet spacious homes.
“Visitors appreciate the beautiful village setting of Shepherds Walk, close to the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with excellent amenities, highly regarded schools and great transport links within easy reach. Hanborough railway station is less than four miles away for trains into London, while it’s only 11 miles into Oxford.
“There are two showhomes available for prospective buyers to visit, which will provide a glimpse into what life could be like at the development should they choose to live here. Uninterrupted, one-to-one appointments can be booked to view the showhomes and speak with one of our dedicated sales advisors.”
A selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes are available to reserve at Shepherds Walk, with prices currently starting from £291,000.
Throughout September, the housebuilder will also be offering a Home of the Month deal on the four-bedroom Tove. Prices for the home start at £395,000 and include an incentive package worth £6,000. Prospective buyers will be able to take advantage of the government-backed Help to Buy scheme and the stamp duty holiday.
