Members of a junior football team are wearing their new kit with pride after receiving sponsorship from William Davis Homes.

The Under 10s squad at Sporting Loughborough FC is going into this season with a brand new kit thanks to sponsorship from the Loughborough-based housebuilder, which is building new homes at Garendon Park in the town.

Sporting Loughborough FC treasurer John Cherry said: “The Under 10s squad is one of our most popular and enthusiastic groups, and having the new kit gives them a sense of identity and pride – so sponsoring the kit means a lot to the team.

“Without kind donations like this from William Davis, grassroots football would not survive, so we are extremely grateful for their support.”

Sporting Loughborough FC is based at Lodge Farm playing fields in Oakley Drive and is one of the town’s most popular and growing clubs. It gives opportunities for children aged four to 18 years, men, and women, as well as teams for inclusive and walking football.
