Actis joins NHIC at NEC’s Installer Show to encourage sustainable construction

Actis will be joining members of the  National Home Improvement Council at the Installer SHOW at Birmingham's NEC and inviting architects, specifiers, builders and installers to discuss sustainable methods of construction on Tuesday June 24

Insulation specialist Actis is joining the National Home Improvement Council at the Installer SHOW at Birmingham’s NEC later this month – and inviting fellow professionals to join them to find out more about creating energy efficient homes across the UK.

The two organisations are hosting a drinks reception at the event on Tuesday June 24 to celebrate the golden anniversary of the NHIC of which Actis became a member this year.

One focus of the Installer BUILD element of this year’s event, which runs from June 24 to 26, is sustainability, with the show providing opportunities for its 30,000 delegates to share ideas on building and retrofitting more sustainably as we head towards net zero.

With its mantra of ‘doing more with less’ Actis aims to enable builders to construct thermally efficient properties with minimal impact on the environment and its honeycomb-structured Hybris insulation has become the only reflective insulation in Europe to have earned international Cradle to Cradle Certified® Certification.

Actis’ membership of the NHIC means it can take part in discussions which help shape industry policies and standards and look at vital issues such as carbon reduction targets and compliance.

Actis area sales managers Alex Dakin and Olly Haworth will be available to discuss energy efficient retrofit methods and products as well as the NHIC’s drive to create a more sustainable built environment.
