First Homes at Former Siemens UK HQ Released For Sale

A new homes developer currently building on the site formerly occupied by Siemens’ UK headquarters has released its first homes for sale in Frimley.

Miller Homes Southern is building 170 new homes at its Frimley Square development off Chobham Road, where construction work on the new housing continues following the demolition of the former buildings at Sir William Siemens Square.

The buildings, which had stood vacant since 2022 after the German tech firm had moved its UK premises to Farnborough Business Park, have now been completely demolished and cleared to make way for the new housing, which will comprise 66 houses and 104 apartments built by Miller Homes.

The developer, based in Basingstoke, will build a range of one and two-bedroom apartments located in two distinct apartment buildings, either side of the development’s central spine, in addition to a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses.

A range of houses and two-bedroom apartments have now been released for sale by the housebuilder, priced from £359,995 for an apartment and £445,000 for a two-bedroom house, which are currently being marketed from a dedicated space within Gascoigne-Pees estate agents in Camberley.

Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director of Miller Homes Southern, said: “We are very proud to be the developer entrusted with delivering new housing on such a significant site within Frimley’s history.

“Construction work is now well underway on the first homes at Frimley Square, following closely after the previous buildings had been safely demolished and removed, so we’re now in a position to release the first homes for sale to the public and we’ve been really pleased to see the interest shown by people who want to become part of this hugely exciting project.

“We are building a range of houses and apartments which means there will be something for everyone at Frimley Square. We will be selling the homes from the development itself during the summer, and it won’t be much later when our first completed properties welcome their new owners to Frimley.”

Miller Homes will provide 34 homes as affordable housing as part of its Frimley Square development. A total of eight properties will be sold via the government-backed First Homes scheme to enable first-time buyers to purchase a new home with a minimum of a 30 per cent discount.

The housebuilder is planning to open a showhome and a show apartment at the development during the summer. Its first residents are set to complete their move to the development in Frimley later this year.

Frimley Square has already welcomed its first visitor – six-year-old Louie Thomas – who was the developer’s special guest to see work begin on the site earlier this year, after Louie’s parents wrote to Miller Homes to explain how Louie was interested in the construction of the new homes.

The developer provided Louie a first-hand look at the development’s plans, and allowed him the opportunity to see and sit on some of the machinery being used to build the new homes in Frimley.
